General medicine is the medical specialty dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of adult diseases. By definition it is an all embracing discipline concerning itself with all aspects of pathology and all the organ based specialties.

Our objectives are to focus on evidence based medicine and reach a sound diagnosis. We implement treatment plans and focus on education of the patient on his or her health issues.

The division of general medicine at Medicare Multispeciality Hospital Pusad District Yavatmal includes physicians or internists whose primary role is to provide medical care in the hospital. It includes 24 hour care of inpatients and outpatients services. Our general medicine team’s goal is to combine the latest evidence based medicine with thoughtful considerations of each patient’s need to foster wellness and healing.

Scope of The Department

The general medicine department is designed to provide basic and specialized procedure and corrective services to the entire family through education, disease prevention services, diagnosis and treatment of adult disease related to ineffective & metabolic diseases.

1. Preventive care and lifestyle modification counseling in out patients.

2. Round the clock in patients services with on call facilities from senior consultants and junior consultant.

3. 10 bedded fully equipped air conditioned advanced Cardiac ICU.

4. 30 bedded advanced medicine ICU.

5. A to Z diagnostic facilities including ECG,EEG,TMT,ECHO,PFT,Nerve conduction studies EMG.

6. 3 Advanced dialysis machine and fully equipped dialysis unit.

7. Diagnostic & therapeutic upper GI Endoscopy.
