About Department

The department of obstetrics and gynecology provides our patients with various choices for personal obstetric and gynecologic care and offers an easy-access approach to complete health care for women. Our gynecologists perform many types of procedures to treat both common and rare gynecologic conditions, working with other specialists to provide the most appropriate care for patients. They provide minimally invasive treatment whenever possible to reduce patient discomfort and promote more rapid healing. They have extensive experience in vaginal and laparoscopic approaches, as well as reconstructive surgery, the restoration of normal anatomy and function.

Our specialist staff and gynecologists are involved with teaching, patient care, and research in the areas of normal and abnormal human reproduction: growth and development of the fetus, normal and complicated obstetrics, and surgical and medical diseases of the female reproductive system, including reproductive endocrinology and infertility, oncology, infectious disease, and psychosocial problems. The department also provides primary and preventive health care for women throughout their lives. They counsel their patients on family planning/contraception and offer several special classes for expectant families, including a maternity unit tour, infant CPR and safety, infant care for expectant parents, breastfeeding, and more.

Obstetric Services

1. Intrapartum monitoring with electronic devices(NST) high risk pregnancies related to pregnancy and labour with back up of a well equipped NICU.
2. Evaluation and management of recurrent miscarriages.
3. Management of critically ill obstetric patients.
4. Management of pregnancies associated with gynecologic condition such as fibroids, ovarian tumors,prolapsed uterus etc.

1. Uterine surgeries- myomectomy

total laparoscopic hysterectomy,laparoscopic assisted vaginal hysterectomy.

2. Tubal surgeries-adhesiolysis, tubal surgeries for ectopic gestation, salpingectomy.

3.Ovarian surgeries- follicular puncture, ovarian biopsy, cystectomy, ovariotomy.

4. Hysteroscopic procedures- septum resection, myomectomy, polypectomy, tubal cannulation.
